A and I had a conversation the other day about leaves and what ones were our most favorite...the colors that is. Hers were blue, of course. Mine are red and have always been red, and then she agreed..."yes, mine are red, too, mama". They are the color of my favorite season. This evening as I was carrying A down my stairs we peeked out our front door window and I saw Three red leaves, small and all on the same branch, right there on my front porch step. There are no trees with changing leaves or bushes with red leaves near by so it made me smile to think these beautiful leaves traveled to make their way to my step...my favorite red leaves, not even 24 hours after I proclaimed them to be my absolute favorite and in a group of three, my absolute favorite number. I love red leaves. And it's the small things, really, that offer such beauty to our lives sometimes. What are your small things? For me, tonight, it's three red leaves...

Very sweet. I love the red ones too. And the orange and yellow ones as well.
Alex is such a sweet heart.
I love fall in general, it reminds me of starting a new school year and Friday night football games. That was back when things were simple, right? Now, my simple things include the smell of coffee being brewed as I lay in bed, the anticipation of seeing family again and enjoying the quiet moments I get to spend with my husband.
Thanks for sharing.
Gabe and I have been trying to go for a walk in the evening more and more. It's my favorite part of the day.
thanks for sharing! My favorite is the first 5 minutes when i walk in the door from work. My pups act like they have missed me so much. And I get a big hug and smooch from Kyle and we share how our day went. The hug and hearing him vent are my favorite... cause i know he loves me and he knows that he can talk to me and I will listen.
My other is random drives. When we have no real destination or agenda, but its just him and i in the truck, in silence, driving. weird, huh?
