All dogs go to heaven, a new tv, and spring fever...

I'd like to post some new pics of the girl...unfortunately I'm too lazy to go upstairs, download them, sort through them, and upload them...so, they will have to be saved for another time. I'm sorry, Marla, I know you were looking forward to seeing some new ones. I can promise you that I do have some cute ones to post, however.

This has been a good weekend, well for the most part. The part that hasn't been good is knowing my Maizie girl is in the hospital and I can't see her or visit her! I'm praying for her and her momma and pops!

The weekend has been good here in small town Indiana because Tim and I finally got a new TV! It is glorious. We have been fighting the urge to buy one for awhile, but finally gave in. Well, I should say Tim finally finished researching them. Though, I must say, we got the deal of our lifetime! Tim is currently playing our friend's x-box on it (thank you nathan :) and talking to himself with the tv headphones on. nice. I am waiting to watch one of my favorite movies on it...Little Children. Or, I may watch The Notebook after reading my friend Kelly's blog.

We'll see how the night strikes me and if I even have the energy in a few.

Today I was folding laundry, my least favorite past time, and Alex was laying on my bed watching All Dogs Go to Heaven---a personal childhood favorite. As I was watching it, this time from a mom's perspective, I couldn't stop laughing at the way cartoons were back then compared to now. If you've never seen All Dogs go to Heaven, you should know there is a lot of drunken dog activity, a lot of dogs smoking, dogs stealing, and naughty behavior in this movie. And what's funny is you would never see a disney movie like it now, a new release that is. There are better movies out now, for sure, but I still have really been enjoying getting old favorites for Alex to watch. She seems to enjoy them way more than some of the new high tech kids movies out. The graphics are much simpler for her to follow, even if they do involve intoxicated dogs at bars, smoking cigars and stealing from humans. I do hear her saying throughout the movie, "oh, no!" or "oh, man!" a lot more than when she watches let's say, Wonder Pets or Blues Clues. I guess, when the time is right, I'll have to explain that it's not good for dogs to drink, smoke, or steal...but for now, she's enjoying them and so am I.

Spring fever has hit me full force. I got a glimpse of the sun today and started thinking about all the fun things spring will bring! I can not wait! And the weather was pretty warm out today so that got me itch'n even more. I am also ready for a good spring cleaning. I am ready to get rid of a ton of stuff. I just decided too much stuff causes too much clutter in my brain. Now, it's just a matter of getting the nerve and the energy to get rid of it all! I was reading in my Creative Home magazine last night that junk takes up a lot of daily energy whether we realize it or not...and I realize it! So, I'm ready to let go. Oh, and I recommend that mag to anyone who likes home stuff and finding new ways to decorate inexpensively and creatively. I have yet to do any of the ideas, but there are some really awesome ideas.

I am really itch'n for a Target trip as well. I have not been since before Christmas if you can believe that. I suppose it is a good thing. But it's hard now, knowing every store is having their winter purging sales to make way for spring extravaganza! oh, how i do love to shop. though, i must say I have been on my BEST behavior these past fews months!

Everyone please say a little prayer for the maizie girl, that she gets to feeling better, and that her parents get some answers! Thank you! Maizie is such a trooper! I love her so much!

To see more of Maizie's artwork go to
Marlabaltes.blogspot.com. She has some posted and you can also request to be a reader of Maizie's blog which I promise you will make your day, make you laugh, and touch your heart! It's super cute!

You are too sweet with Maizie. She loved the bear and the balloons you all sent. She is doing a bit better. She finally ate a little last night and the EEG will be completed today, hopefully! We just need to get her eating and the seizures to slow before they will let us home.

Yes, I can't wait to see Alex pictures.

So glad you bought a television you are in love with. I know we love ours. I am off to the hospital! We love you and know you would be there with us if you could. Give Alex a smooch from me!
