Hum drum day....

Today has been a very slow day...a very very very oh so slow and painful day. Working today and I can't usually say it's slow but today...oh today, it is slow. I floated to a different floor and have ONE patient (the other is off the unit until 9p). I have ONE patient. I have given ONE med. I am BORED. I guess there is something to be said about a busy unit (such as the one I work on--- even though I may complain about it at times). Oh my gosh...the pain...the boredom...my butt hurts from sitting for hours straight. I am getting paid. I must remind myself. (what did bored people do at work before the internet? nap? I could be down with that too...I guess the internet is a bit more discreet)

On a non-work note, my birthday is coming up! I can't wait! I always get very excited for birthdays, though usually end up a little sad on the day of because they aren't quite celebrated like they use to be. And I somehow end up being disappointed ...usually just home sick/friend sick I suppose. This year I aim to NOT be disappointed but to just ENJOY the day---to be thankful for my life, all the incredible blessings of family and friends and Coopy dogs and stuffs and memories, etc. It doesn't get much sweeter than this and too often I let the little things distract me and I forget...I am truly blessed. TRULY!
