A lesson to be learned....

Well, after a relaxing day and preparing a yummy dinner, I made myself a birthday cake. A yellow cake half frosted with cherry icing and the other with milk chocolate (I couldn't decide at the store which I wanted). Well, it should be said that egg beaters don't work well for cakes. I knew it might affect the rising aspect, but it turned out to be a consistancy of cornbread...very dense...but alas, i have still eaten two pieces ;)

thanks, jac! and yes, the icing was wonderful! i actually put the cake in the fridge so the icing firmed up a bit, and i had to throw the cake and the icing away because i could not stop eating either! i was feeling so sick and still couldn't stop. they were yummy while they lasted!

Wow that's a sad tale alrighty. Happy Birthday nonetheless though!

See, fat content isn't a bad thing after all ;-) for baking at least.

cherry and chocolate?? Where is the funfetti frosting, that's the best. Glad you still ate a few pieces, cake is still cake.

Finally caught up on your blog, great pictures as always, even if I"m not in any of them :) I cannot believe how big Alex is, she is so cute. And no, we are not having babies any time soon (I could feel the question coming!)
